Most of my employment has been in the printing and book industry. I’ve worked for small and large companies starting from the bottom ranks to holding supervisory positions as well as owning my own small businesses.  I am currently attending college and majoring in Journalism/Communications with the intention of continuing at a university to study Public Relations.

I have spent the last 15 years working as a home school mother, organizer in the home school community and as a leader of a secular home school group. I’ve created and managed a variety of websites for myself and for my home school organization and my church.

A lot of my time, over the last several years, has been spent on volunteer work with these organizations and acting as an advocate for my youngest son who was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome when he was about 15 years old. I have found that it is very difficult to find the support that he needed as an older child and now as an older teen and young adult with Asperger’s.

I am interested in working in fields related to Asperger’s/Autism advocacy, small business, website design, alternative education, liberal religion, humanism, or separation of church and state as a Public Relations Specialist, in marketing, advertisement, and community relations/organizing.

My varied range of work and life experience has given me a broad experience set, and an open mind that enables me to think “outside the box”, if you will. I will bring an unusual set of tools to your organization. I am a solution finder– when there is a problem I either work until I find the solution or make adjustments to the goal in order to achieve success. I am friendly but firm.
